Early Life and Career
Joseph Tyler Mixon was born on July 24, 1996, in Antioch, California. He attended Freedom High School and rushed for a record 2,546 yards during his senior year. Mixon led his team to the North Coast Section Open Championship and was named MaxPreps National Player of the Year.
He committed to play football for the University of Oklahoma but withdrew after being arrested on a misdemeanor assault charge. Mixon subsequently enrolled at the University of Cincinnati, where he had a successful collegiate career, rushing for 4,177 yards and scoring 41 touchdowns.
NFL Career
