Celtic Officially Announce Giorgos Giakoumakis Transfer!

The Greek striker joins the Hoops from Dutch side VVV-Venlo

Giakoumakis has been in impressive form for VVV-Venlo this season, scoring 26 goals in 33 appearances in all competitions.

The 26-year-old has also been capped four times by Greece and was part of their squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Giakoumakis is a powerful and physical striker who is also good with his feet. He is expected to provide competition for Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths in the Celtic attack.

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou said: "Giorgos is a player we have been tracking for some time and we are delighted to have him join us.

"He is a proven goalscorer with a good record at both club and international level.

"He is also a good character and we believe he will be a valuable addition to our squad."
