A New Era Begins in Boston

After a disappointing end to their 2022-23 campaign, the Boston Celtics are looking to bounce back in a big way in 2023-24. With a new coach in Ime Udoka, the Celtics are hoping to return to contention in the Eastern Conference.

Roster Changes

The Celtics made a number of roster changes over the offseason, most notably trading away All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving to the Brooklyn Nets. In return, the Celtics acquired point guard Kemba Walker, center Enes Kanter, and a future first-round pick. The Celtics also added veteran forward Gordon Hayward via free agency.

These moves have given the Celtics a more balanced roster, with a strong core of Walker, Hayward, and forward Jayson Tatum. The Celtics also have a number of promising young players, including Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, and Robert Williams III.
